Hello,

Been trying to download source code from google code using the utility on Windows. I tried  http://code.google.com/p/java-ide-droid/source/checkout and a couple others.

I am outside the office network and I can browse the internet okay but when I attempt to download source code using the Download SVN utility I get error "Failed to download: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. I get the same for any other svn url I try. Someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Downloading: http://code.google.com/p/java-ide-droid/source/checkout/
Failed to download: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Hi lchemwolo,

Using DownloadSVN, I have yet to have a problem if I use the syntax:

http://[NameOfProject].googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

example: http://quakealert.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

Hope this helps.

This is an old thread, but for other people reading or having a similar problem I like to add the following.

I also got a 404 when trying to use "download svn". I fixed it by removing a trailing space in the url box. so be sure there are no whitespace characters in there
